Thread: Getting granddaughter ready for archery season

Finally got a chance for my 8 yr old granddaughter to shoot a crossbow. Think she is gonna be fine. This was her first shot ever with one at 20 yds. She will be ready for opening weekend. Can't wait.

Oh yeah, get them started early. Is she ready for the field dressing? I've taken a lot of kids on their first hunts, and none of them never had a problem watching the field dressing process.
Used it as a teaching moment pointing out the internal organs and making an association with the same organs in a human. They were kind of like ho-hum. LOL.
