Glenn, we need to try what Ciller is talking about!
As you enter Blue Creek from the southwest looking east you will see a huge point jutting out to the north. If you scan the south bank from that point going east, 10-25 fow you will find more brush than I have ever seen in my life. Too much! I just keep looking til I find one on my downscan that looks like it's covered with Christmas tree lights. That's where I fish! The 220 day included way too many dinks but my buddy was into numbers and didn't care. Right now the area I just described is holding a LOT of short fish so it's a great spot to teach someone how to sense the bite and SET THE HOOK! Hope this helps Minnowtime. Feels weird giving advice when usually I'm the one asking for advice- good luck.

Minnow time, the Key is having a Quality depth finder with a gps to follow the contour lines as CC mentions below. also You can record a trail that will dislay on your map to help you know what area you have covered, allowing you be sure you covered an area thouroughly. Technology isn't all that expensive any more, and you can sometimes find a good used unit as people upgrade. the fuel saved alone will make up for the cost of the unit... Good luck ..

CC, I went over that area and could not find one brush pile. Saw clouds of shad but no brush. Either my locator is trash or I'm not in the right spot. I saw a man in what I think was a tracker fishing that point the other day and he said he was fishing for crappie. I need to know when you or someone who knows how to catch Crappie so I could tag along with my boat and watch.
Nice day on the water caught around 45 , returned all to grow up for next year or year after , by the way gentlemen a question for you , how much does a Crappie grow in one year?

According to Ashley Nealis, who is the Fisheries Biologist for the North Central Region of Oklahoma, Crappie in Lake Carl Blackwell are reaching 10" by age 2. "From my last batch of data (2014 Fall trapnetting), it looks like crappie in Blackwell are reaching 10in by age 2"
