Took my Daughter and Niece out this evening. My niece lives on OKC and was wanting to fish so badly that we went out after the rain. She ended up catching 2 real nice fish and 22 overall. The most of them were
right next to the bank.
Well, just got photos sent to me by anothe group of friends that were successful! Tween the 3 of them they brought home 43 good fish yesterday! The fish were 3 to 5 ft deep, and didn't want anything but a black T - Bone 1/8 0z jig. Sounds like the fishing is getting good!

Went out solo Saturday, but had plenty of company out on the lake. I don't know how many boats I saw, but it seemed like everywhere I went there were several boats fishing. Tried a lot of different spots and techniques. Started out shallow, but didn't get any takers. Noticed a few crappie hitting the top of the water out 10 yards off a point. Casted to a stump in 4 ft of water close to the point and caught 5 good fish. Went back into the cut and fished shallow again after the sun had warmed things up and still no takers. Tried double dippin that bank and caught 7 more. Moved to another spot and stayed on that pattern fishing 8 to 10 ft. deep. Ended the day with 31 keepers and another 15 throwbacks, biggest fish was 1.78.

Took my two young children out for some fishing Saturday morning. Ended the day with 30 nice fish. Very shallow bite. Not to be negative, but I'm sick of rude boaters and fishermen. No regard for little kids safety in a boat. I'm starting to appreciate winter fishing allot more.
X2 on the winter/fall fishing!

Oologah is full of boaters that have no respect of another boat, regardless of size or who's in it. I'd like to see the Corp put in a "No Wake" when others present bouy and enforce it. I think, State wide lake speed limits are supposed to be 35 mph. You hit it on the head with winter fishing. Night time fishing works too. Glad you got your kids out Robert.

Craig it's not just the Oologah boaters. It's all the lakes we fish. There isn't any respect for anyone now adays for anyone or thing. We as parents are failing terribly in showing respect and our kids are following suit. (It's not just on the water it's in all things)...Ranger
