Thanks fishn_a_ledge...TC. I'll try and remember to get on here more often and post reports. I've met several guys from here at the ramps. Great group of guys!

Fished half a day yesterday, and most of a day Thursday. We caught 37 Thursday, with only 3-4 keepers. Best was 13.5" (1.29 lb). Friday we caught 43, all smallies. The fish were cold to the touch. Not something I've noticed until now.
That's something I noticed last week, The fish were cold. Seemed unusual.

Fished two trips out in the brutal south wind on Saturday. I believe we looked at about 20 areas and fought the wind before we found a nice group willing to bite. The other areas were holding fish, but they were not playing nice at all. The wind limited areas we could fish. We caught fish on laydowns on the ledges battling the strong swells in 8-25ft. Most of the fish were hugging the bottom and I did notice the coolness to the fish. We used both minnows and jigs. Buster Brown Crappie Kickers were the best color in the stained water. Catching was fast and furious, but the keepers were far and few in between. We pulled out a mess for each group a fish fry, but it wasn't a steller day for keepers. Come on cooler weather!!!
Sunday, we had a fun group on Grand chasing the white bass on the windy points. They were up in less than 5ft of water on gravel points. We were using GoGo Minnows on 1/8 ounce heads. Lemon Pie seemed to be the overall best color.
Water temps on both lakes has risen back up around 70 with our crazy warm south winds.

Papa came over yesterday and we went out and fought the wind. Water had a heavy stain while lake is still 6.5' high. Very limited on where we could fish. Saw Guru and had a quick visit with him. Only had 9 over 10" with biggest being around 13.25". Had about twice that many lil ones. Fish anywhere from 17' up to 8' with most hits coming right off the bottom.
Reaper, Where Fish come to Fry
Fished Sunday afternoon with my daughters. Numbers were down a little but their size has improved dramatically. 17 keepers I'm around 2 hours fishing. The girls had fun!

Those girls look as if they are having a lot of fun, but I'm guessing that they don't clean the fish (they're holding those fish with only the tips of their thumbs and fingers), much like my grand daughters and great grand daughter.

We fished Oologah on Thursday and Friday mornings this week. Started out Thursday fishing for blue and got into a good early bite. We saw one other boat and he decided to drop jugs suspended drifting about a 100 yards upwind of us and let them all drift into our lines...smh. If they were legally tagged with the name and number I would have called, but they weren't. After our lines were all tangled we decided to go catch a few crappie. Hit a few piles that I hadn't been to in a few weeks. 3 out of the 6 were holding good crappie. 14-18ft piles and caught most of them about 10ft down.
Friday morning, we set out to put a young man on some fast action crappie. First stop on a ledge near brush was fast action and lots of laughs, but lots of shorties, 12-16ft on bottom. We finally found a good group of 11-13 inchers on another ledge 16-25ft. The young man had a blast and was plum worn out by 12 o'clock. Most of the fish we caught were on minnows. I fished jigs for about 30 minute only a few thumps. Minnows out produced jigs by a large margin.
