That may be Reaper. If so, that stinks. Getting those things on the GPS is a pain. I just put them on an HDS for a buddy of mine and I like to never got them on there. Of course, I can't read the instructions!

out of curiousity Meat, what do you mean by this statement - can you provide a little more detail? I have lowrance HDS units on my boat which I assume you are referring to.

If you didnt want to mess with the HD card, is there a map published that can be used to identify the brush pile? I have two of my younger cousins (11 and 14) coming down from Ohio for the weekend and I would love to get them on some nice crappie. I used to take these kids fishing on lake erie since they could stand and since I moved from Ohio to Okla they havent been able to do any lake fishing.

When we put the brush in last Sept in Blue Creek we were told that the corp could no longer put the co-ords on our SD cards for us as Reaper said.
Here is a link with map and GPS co-ords for the last several years.\

Basically, I took all of my coordinates from my Lowrance 520 units and put them on his HDS. It was only a pain because I had never messed with an HDS. Now that I have it would take me about 30 seconds to complete. I can assist you if you would like. I live in the Owasso area and if your close, I would be willing to come by and help you or you could bring your boat by my house and I could help. Also, I'll be at the lake alot this weekend, we could meet up if you like. It's really isn't that bad if you know how. You can go to the corps website via the link above, save the coordinates to your computer, load them on an SD card, and then put them on your Unit.

Good to meet and know who you were Fisher. I'm grateful for the info on the crappie pattern that worked for you. I'll be out there Tuesday chasing sandbass, crapppie, or blues if I can get any of em to cooperate. Probably Sunday or Monday I'll be taking that crew of screaming teenage girls tubing again. They had a blast. I had to download the brushpiles manually in my newer sonoar unit a while back and I'm not sure they're as precise as they were in my older unit. I fished some of the brushpiles I suspect meatdragger has been fishing last year and had good catches from them. I may have to try those again too.

I fished Saturday morning as well and we cleaned 50. Same pattern...it won't change for the next couple of months. Coyote, were you on the south end of the lake or somewhere else? If on the soutyh end I may have seen you, what kind of boat do you have? Also, how good is pretty good?

Went out solo Saturday morning from 6:30 to 10:30 and brought home 26 keepers. Fish had slowed down a little bit but were still biting when I left. The lake was getting pretty crazy with boats full of folks enjoying the holiday. Caught some on jigs but most on minnows. Fished 15fow and the fish were still suspended from 8-12ft. Caught a few fish using a drop shot, but not as many as I would've if the fish would start holding near the bottom. It's getting better every week and the best is yet to come this summer.

Went out solo again Monday morning and tried some different brush piles, didn't have much luck. I caught one good one on a jig and that was it. I guess I wasted the best part of the morning checking different brush piles, but you never know until you try. I eventually found a good pile about 9:00. I brought home 23 keepers and fished from 6:00 to 11:00. The may flies were everywhere this morning. I drove through several swarms that were huge and the water was covered with them. I saw a huge carp on top of the water and he was sucking them in. Here's a picture of my 4th of July crappie.
