    Default Eufaula 2-17-10

We put in at Eufaula Cove marina and ran toward the dam. We fished around several docks and caught 30-35 crappie and 3 sandbass. We kept 13. Most fish in 25 fow and caught about 14 feet down. Caught on electric chicken, cajun cricket and blk/char. The water was cold. Temps ranged from 36 -38. The fish we caught didn't really attack the jig just felt a tap. Beautiful day on the water, sure beat sitting at home.

When I pulled up this is exactly what they looked like. All fuzzy and snuggled up like monkeys. I asked "thought you were supposed to be fishing!"

Nothing but a blank stare did I receive for an answer. Figured they had both frozen to death so I didn't ask em anymore questions.

As I drove off, I saw Leland's pole double over and he sprung back to life...... fishermen!!!!!!!! Hahahaha:p

I went to I-40 this morning. I had to break ice to get there. I put in at Gentry Creek and broke ice till I got to south bank it was about 1/4 inch thick. I took my usual (minnows) and had no luck. the lowrance said they were there but they were not in the mood for minnows. I got skunked once again

Scott, I have always said a bad report is often as helpful as a good report. It keeps me from going someplace and wasting my time and money. I try to give an ACCURATE report whether it be good or bad.

Nope; Not too early for creeks at least down south. We caught some crappie yesterday evening in 3' fow. little creek that feeds into the main lake. All on large minnows except 1 on jigs. 3 black crappie as well and 1 of them a black nose!
