Sooner with high north winds or south which ever it may be there are only a few banks on any body of water that will shield you somewhat from it. Those banks may not be exactly where you want or need to be fishing but usually you can catch some numbers. Most times early in the year I'm in creeks as I will be again as summer gets closer. Right now I'm fishing main lake areas where it's more open on a summertime or post spawn pattern. The fish are coming off their spawning beds and staging on main lake points and natural banks. They are hungry and ready to eat after a long spawning season. The wind certainly dictates where you can fish this time of year.......Ranger
