Went out today with Richard Mosely, Brandon Tyler, and Ryan Tyler. Ended keeping 34 nice fish biggest was 1.72. Had several more over 1.20. We fished scattered brush tight to the bottom in 9-10ft pretty much all day. We had one small area out of the brutal gusting wind that held fish. Every time I went to another area no bites. We double dipped mikes custom baits and Wareagle 69 homemade specials in blk pink, blk chart, and pump chart on Timmy Toms Weedless jigheads using Todd Huckabee rods. The WT was 51-53, water vis was 4-5 inch. EB

I am really tired of the high water this year. We thought last spring was something that only happens every 7-8 years but it went up again over New Years. We were just under 2' of how high it got this past spring. Here's a few pics of our dock, the electric pole where they marked the highest level from last spring and also the dock repair guys that had to come work on our dock this week (we got hung up on 2 pencils that pushed our dock over about 9'). When they went to reset our dock, they discovered 3 of the 4 pencils had been bent which will require them to lift the dock in order to cut the pencils out. The worst part was I had some nice crappie in a basket but when the water came up, I couldn't get out on the dock to get them. By the time I was able to get out there, something had gotten them all -- the only parts left were the crappie mouths which whatever ate the fish, wouldn't eat the mouths.

Went out this evening on the north end and it was muddy muddy. Haven't seen it like that in 3-4 years. WT was 40, shad were 6-8ft but no fish. EB

Since I couldn't fish Tenkiller today with no ramp access and muddy water decided to try the south end. Unloaded at Crowder, and fished several areas from that area, Blocker area, Bugtussel area, and towards Elm n Ash. I will say the main lake is lot dirtier than the creeks. Eat was 43 main lake and got up to 50 degrees in the creek. Shad were in the 15'-17' dow but suspended at 8'-10'. All fish I saw were also in the same depth but at 10'-12' dow. Had 8 bites, caught 5, 4 keepers and 1 short fish. Visibility is 8" in the creeks and 3" main lake. Tough bite but better days ahead.....Ranger
oh yeah technique was spider rigging jigs tipped with minnows. Did I say I hate spider rigging lol......Ranger

Hey Ranger I'm like you. I like to feel the thump but when it's slow, I do it. If you ever figure out how to hold 5-6 rods or "penta riggin" then let me know.

Ditto on " hate spider riggen". Any method named after spiders can't be good and it's all about the thump for me! You are a desperate man Mark!
