went down to check on the trailer and the dock. Water must be rising because i couldn't get out to the dock without wading in the water. Looked to be half way up the railing at the end of the walk way. stopped by the marina and saw a couple of nice crappie pulled in while talking to Bill. Looked to be 8-10 ft down and some kind of light colored jig. Not much info but some people are catching on the north end.

Yes, the lake level is going up with all of the rain around here and OKC. I got notified today the lake level is up to 590' (normal is 585'). After the high water we had this past spring, I stay a little more up on the lake levels

Back on Eufaula today not knowing what I would find with the lake levels on the rise and already 51/2' above normal. After scanning several banks my fish had moved. Found fish today in 17'-18' dow instead of the 12'-13' where I left them. They were actually on the deep side of a break line but suspended about 14'. Again Blk/Chart was the best color with brown pumpkin/chart running a close 2nd. I will say our big fish was 1.87 with several over 1.50 and kept 38 over 12". Technique was double dipping with Fle Fly Kickers and GoGo minnows in 3" size. Certainly love deer season with not another boat on the lake......Ranger

Back on Eufaula today with Joe and David from the Tulsa area. High skies, slick water made for tough fishing as well. Fish are still in that 17' range and relating to structure. Technique was double dipping using Huckabee 10'rods, crappie pro heads, Fle Fly Crappie Kickers in Buster Brown and Black/Chartreuse colors, and Fle Fly Go Go Minnows in Smoke and Black/Chartreuse. We ended cleaning 43 after we threw back 11-10"-10 1/2" crappie before loading. Great Day with some good fisherman.......Ranger

Got a chance to fish with a good friend of mine yesterday Andy Mixon from Harrah,OK. I started guiding him and his dad 5 years ago in fact our first trip was in the snow in Gaines creek and we killed them that day. In fact I called them that morning and it had already started snowing and I asked "do ya'll still want to go"? Andy replied "Hell ya we are on our way" LOL. Yesterday we kept 26 crappie and 18 sand bass. The crappie were slow to bite on brush in 14-15ft we only caught 1-3 keepers from each pile. We used Timmy Tom weedless jigheads and mikes custom baits. Blk/pink silver/chart and blk chart colors. Our biggest fish was 1.87. Water Temp was 48. EB

With the warm temps yesterday, I finally took some time and replaced the cedars hanging in the slip at our dock. Getting ready for some good winter fishing while we are down there the week of Christmas. Hopefully those cedars will pull in lots of big slabs like they did last year.
