Caught about 20 yesterday from 1800-0dark30. Some up on the bank, some as deep as 12ft. Not a lot of quantity but good quality yesterday.
Caught them on the bottom We caught a few flipping out in a open stall and letting it sink and they were 3 to 5 feet down in same FOW. The bite was really light for the most part. Most were out towards the open end of the docks 10 to 14 ft bumping the bottom.

Fished yesterday afternoon, caught most of mine in about 12 foot down in 20 fow, had some nice size fish. Was fishing up Elk River, Callmecamo you been fishing the North or South end? I never tried the bank, most of the water i found was about 56/57 degrees, was debating on trying some shallow stuff just never did.
PM to you Kirb.
Ive been catching some nice ones in 12-14 fow, Black and Chartreuse Slab Dokt'r. Had the gun show this weekend, so only got to fish a bit.
i think they will move on in anytime. I'm mid lake. The bite has been off and on. Dead sticking working best for me.
On another note. Ive caught 4 of those Black Striped crappie (mohawks?)this year already.
Those would be black-nosed crappie. I haven't caught one in Grand yet. Welcome!
Here's my first attempt at picture posting here. 4th of these this year!?

Cleaned about 60 total this weekend. Bite seems to be right at dark.
Thats about what i did this weekend. I didnt get the bite at dark though. I was still out in 12 ft water, catching 8-10 ft deep.
Some nice ones, and what keeps me saying HUH? My grandson and i caught 4 more mohawks. 1 12 incher, and 3 about 8 inchers.
I think that makes 8-10 of those black nose weve caught the past couple of months.
