But you forgot to mention all those fish were caught on Timmy Tom weedless jig heads and they kept you brush free all day.
Fished yesterday from 9-3 had 60 keepers on brushpiles in the lake in 7-9 ft. Red chart slab slayers was the bait. Lots fish in the 1.25-1.60 range. Probably would have caught a hundred had the storms not ran us off.

I've been to Timmy Tom's website a couple of times and for the life of me can not find these weedless jigs you all have spoke of. Only weedless jig I can find is the wacky weedless jig which is geared more towards bass.
DrNip, just drop him an email to order, and mention the fiber weed guard, and he knows what you are talking about. I called him and he said they had been so busy he hadn't got it on the website yet.
One note is he also has the fiber weed guard with a sickle hook, so specify which hook you want.
Thanks.

He has them up on his sight now. Good looking jig. Never seen a crappie jig with the bristles for the weedless guard.
IkenI LIKED above post
ordered some this evening. Decades ago when I bass fished tourneys the bigger versions were my favorite lure. These will work well, I'm certain - just don't forget to trim the fiber guard. If they get here quick enough I'll try them out next weekend at Eufaula.
