Fished Kaw with my wife yesterday. Perfect weather day- She was on fire with her finesse technique- caught 12 keepers probably 20 throwbacks, fish seemed deeper yesterday but it was a bright day. There has been a great spawn here-lots of 3-5 inch fish. Not much on big baits today, wanted small dark colored plastic- bass pro crappie shad. pink and black.

Went Sat and only got a few quality fish with several throwbacks, Water temp is around 60. around 12 to 15 ft in 25 ft of water.

This is the first time in recent memory that 3-5" fish are being caught. The lake has had steady levels during spawning season for the last 2 years. Glad to hear you had a good day. The weather was perfect.
