yah I'm planning on getting some good rope and tie around one of the supports and leave it so it will be easier to get tied off, just not sure yet which support I should use. The old bridge had a rope that dropped from the top to tie with.

The new bridge is easy to tie to just as long as the wind is not blowing like a son of gun. The supports have a ledge that you can walk around, leaving a rope on one of them is a good idea though.

I'm heading out there this Thursday or Friday and I'm planning on going night fishing but I'm not going to make the same mistakes again. First one is I'm not going to mess with it if the wind is blowing from the south with 20 mph winds and gusts up to 30, that kind of wind just is not worth dealing with for me anyway. The other thing too is I'm going to make sure to get there BEFORE dark not after, getting set up in the dark was a bone head move.

Wind is killing my fishing. Went too Ft Gibson 7-11 Monday after checking 5 different web sites for wind condition, forecasting wind from South at 4 to 14 mph. Got to 51 bridge and was major WHITE CAPPING checked Cell phone it said Ft Gibson wind FOUR mph from south for Ft Gibson. Drove to Toppers, cove looked good launched and fished for about 15 min.. Wind switched to east and sent white caps all the way to west end of creek. Evening weather reported wind gust of 30mph.

Next plan got out the knee board put up the top and pulled three Great Grand kids for 3 hours. This saved the day.

Yeah, I hear you that was my experience last week except at night. It was just not fun.

My thinking was, after the sun goes down it will let up, well it did for a few minutes and then it came roaring back. Plan B lets go back to the dock!

Fish today and had 17 keepers. All in the river about 10 to 16 feet of water. Fish brush. Not all brush had good fish on them had to keep moving around
Trying again tomorrow morning. Last day to fish before going back to work. Did not have much luck in midlake . Going to need more practice or maybe a guide.

Going in the morning, plan on having hooks in the water by day break and pulling off when the heat says it's time to go.

Fished Thursday with partner Charlie which we ended with 17 keepers and many shorts fishing wood in 8' early and backed off to 14' later in the late morning heat. Pearl/Chartreuse Crappie Kickers on a 3/32oz weedless jig. Not all wood held fish even in the same area just had to do a lot of looking. Even piles that showed them stacked up only would produce a few and you had to work for them. WT was 86 with water clarity about 2'........Ranger
