Had a really good day yesterday, my best on Gibson so far. Fish were all over from 5 to 24 feet but always on wood. Caught my limit and high graded from there. Used BG black and green minnow minder and baby shads in shad colors. There were a ton of people fishing yesterday. A lot were crappie fishing but there must have been a bass tournament going on too. When I saw all the peeps I decided to look for cover in obscure out of the way spots. Biggest was a white crappie but had several nice blacks too.Name: phone pics 10-29-13 1098.jpg

There were so many boats Mark, I am sorry I didn't notice. I am glad you got your clients on to em. Those are some nice blacks he is holding. Is it just me or am I am getting more meat off those blacks than the whites? The blacks just seem to be beefier at Ft Gibson.

Absolutely they have a wider back and thicker top to bottom. Most of the ones I cleaned yesterday had empty bellies making them look smaller. Mondays fish were loaded up and eating well.....Ranger

Frank and Robyn Burwell from Concordia, Kansas. He and I fish together several times a year. Robyn and Frank came to the Farm and fished Hugo last year. His recent trip to Antlers produced several tree rats for him before we were drowned out. Glad you had a blast. He is a great friend.

George you know me I got the last name wrong. LOL Anywho we had a great time and such wonderful people and good fisherman and women. Frank was intrigued about learning to cast n drag and picked up on it pretty quick. He listened to every suggestion and tip I could give him and took them to heart. He now has a new technique to try and fish for those Kansas Crappie and teach Chatt a few things. LOL.......Ranger

Sorry I am a bit late posting this but did not get back home until 9 or so last night. My wife and I had a fantastic trip Saturday- the fish did not want to cooperate but Mark made them anyway!!!!y t Fort Gibson is amazing and once again I am left just to dream about the next trip to Oklahoma. You guys down there are pretty lucky- great lakes and great guides like Mark- I highly recommend a trip with Mark-it is a pretty rare thing when you can really tell the bite is a little off and the fish don't have the feedbag on-and we are still putting high quality fish in the boat. Many thanks to Ranger!!! Frank and Robyn

Mark - Frank and I had an in depth discussion of the Saturday trip and your technique this morning. He could not say enough good things about you and your prowess. He and I are talking about booking you for a repeat performance. Now I am not sure that your boat is big enough to contain 3 jolly ol souls for 1 day. We might have to either consider a bigger boat or throw someone out and you and I just go. Frank and I have enjoyed many trips together and are always planning the next one.
