Fished up in the river today and only had 20! Fished several good spots caught all our fish on baby shads! Didn't have any big blacks but had some nice fish! 8-12ft was the key depth! EB

Great reports guys keep it up it is good to see they are biting on gibson. It would be tough for me not to be swimming in that water with this kinda heat.

we caught 20+ this morning. 16 solid keepers. I have never seen shad fry on that lake in these numbers- absolutely insane. Should make for big fall fish.....the river and mid lake are loaded with 1" fry- I haven't been down south. Are they that thick down south? MILLIONS of them!

Default Fished Sunday Put in @ Whitehorn

I can Concur On the Baby Shad. We ran up a little to what i think is Clear Creek and the Baby shad were IDing the Stumps. Any where there was a stump above or below the surface there were Tons of baby shad circiling it. Caught a Keeper Crappie on my Very First Drop using a Shad Colered BG Baby Shad @ about 8' and thought MAN this is gonna b a good day. Im kinda new to Gibson mostly fish Oolagah only my 2nd time on the lake. We didnt do very good on the Crappie but the Catfish were Tearin up those shad. I think we ended up with 6 Good eatin size Cats on Jigs. Biggest was 3-ish pounder. Quite a Fight on 8' Fly Rod. Only 3 Keeper Crappie but had a good time anyway. BTW anyone Fishin For Sandbass. This was the spot for that too. They Were BOILIN the water everywhere. Water Temp was in the Upper 80's and in good shape Clarity wise

Clear creek doesn't seem to fish well this time of year. Especially after the bait fish move out. Jane Dennis is even tougher. This time of the year South of the bridge and River are the ticket in my experience. Keep after 'em!

Fish the river ended with nine good fish . Good at 412 bridge and trees close to the channel.
