Take a man hunting or fishing for a day he'll eat for a day.

I'm new to the Tinkiller Lake area and would prefer to fish the south end of the lake. Does anyone want to say what area's would be best? I do have a boat!
Thanks
Okie72, I am no help to you I haven't fished that end of the lake in a while. I have friends that have been catching from Snake creek to Cookson.

Okie72, try the 2 coves due north of Strayhorn Landing. They have some submerged timber in there. If you have good electronics find the trees that are branched out. Fish should be about 5-12'. You can also run up to Burnt Cabin cove and it too has some submerged timber. Same thing there. The key for me has been wood. Don't ask me why, but that is the way I've been catching them.

Thanks for the help guys! I really appreciate it!
Ran up to the lake for a couple of hours. Males are turning and are actually close to the bank for Tenkiller. Females were in about 10 fow suspended about 5'. Males in 3-4' fow. Midlake area, wtr temp 65.5, didn't relly matter what color. Kept a one person limit and let all others go. Caught tons of short fish (males of course). Here's the proof.
Here's the boys two good fish. Weight posted on picture.
