I purchased a new 25 HP ETEC and it is coming from the manufacturer. Very frustrating especially with the spawn right around the corner.

That would put the pressure on an ole boy!! Waiting on a new motor ! Did they give you a tracking number?

Nope. Called last week and the dealer stated Evinrude told him midweek this week. Well that has come and gone. Called yesterday at 5pm and the dealer stated it was too late to call them and that he would Monday. I NEED to be on the water by next weekend or I'll bust! Haven't been fishing in 1 1/2 years or so now.

Maybe with all the waiting and frustration, when it arrives all will be good with it and be worth it! I've heard and read a lot of good things about ETECS.

What kind of boat will you be in so I can look for you when we get on the water? Mines a 22' mostly white Bay Charger.

It's just a 1248 Jon boat. Gets me where the fish are.

Tried my luck today, but didn't get anything. Expected the Marina to be open so I could get some minnows, but it was closed. Had to rely on jigs only. Didn't go over by the dam, but should have. Fished mainly in the big stretch from the Cove Marina down to the twin bridges. Skunked everywhere from channels to standing timber. This was about my 5th time trying Thunderbird. I really suck at this fishing stuff! Thought I would have learned some tricks by now, but I guess I'm going to be a noob forever!

Jon, if I can find em,(sometimes!), anyone can! It just takes time on the water mainly and checking here to get any little tidbit of info you can. Although frustrating at times, even when I come in skunked I learn something pretty much everytime I go.

DrNip, I have fished and hunted from a jon boat most of my life. Only got the boat I have now because I decided fishing is a lot less stressful than golf so I go alot more and child support stopped! I also use to go to the boat shows thinking some day I might decide to own a boat and I always found myself ending up next to a center console, no carpet, easy to clean boat.

To all the lurkers, was anyone on here the guy that was tube fishing around Little River Marina Wednesday afternoon, I'd say around 1-2pm?
