Good job boat 49, my nephew was at tbird last Sunday and caught three limits out in a boat fishing deep structure right off bottom on minnows.I am hoping I can get out after this round of bad weather gets out of here. You have probably seen me at tbird I fish in a float tube a lot in the spring around the dock area,i have a big grey beard .I will catch you sometime and introduce myself.Hope you have a Merry Christmas and good fishing !!!

Oh yea, I failed to mention that my nephew was with two other guys when they caught their limits .

I think I've seen you a time or two floating between the marina and shore. I will hollar at you. My boat is in a slip one the first covered dock past the sailboat dock. I figured your nephew had some people with him!! Merry Christmas to you and your family. Stay safe and I'll see you out there sometime. ( I'm thinking about heading that way now!)

Has anyone fished Thunderbird lately? I was thinking about running out Saturday morning and giving it a shot, never fished it before so any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry AnimalMother, I just saw your post. Did you make it out yesterday and if so how did you do? Based on my last few times out, today would have been the day to go! The last few times I went out with a cold front coming I did much better after it arrived. I forgot to load my warm clothes today or I would have gone out this afternoon after I finished work. Took the kayak out yesterday afternoon. Decided to go up little river to seek shelter from the wind. End up couldn't go up river as far as I woulda liked to due to duck hunters. C ame home with the skunk. What is the regs concerning fishing the marina? Been thinkn bout takin the kayak over therre an givin it a try if I won't catch any hassle from the owners.

I've fished them before with no problem and was in a bass boat. I felt a little uncomfortable being in such a big boat over there dock shooting but it was my friends boat and I was along for the ride. If I remember correctly there are signs posted stating something along the lines of no unauthorized boats, private property, no fishing except by owners or something of that nature. I'm sure if you get the wrong owner of one of the spots at the dock and they will say something. You being in a kayak I wouldn't think you would have any problems at all.
