Very nicely done.
Got out to a local lake for a few hours after work managed to catch a few crappie. Water temp was 43 and the fishing was pretty tough! They were extra slow on the take today really had to wait before setting the hook all of my fish came on an orange 1/64 jig and gulp 1” black Shad. My friends were using other presentations with the same results. Most of the fish were in 6-7 fow dead up in the weeds. It was nice to get out on the water in the sunshine even tho the breeze had a bite to it.

Good job! Glad to see that some crappie are being caught. Our local lakes are still flooded and muddy.

My work projects have been put on hold for what looks like the rest of the week! I’m hoping to get out again today! But the wife and my youngest are both sick so I don’t know how that’s gonna play out. I really want to fish ahead of this next cold front I’ve got a gut feeling the fishing could be on fire today! Ugh pray for me if I don’t get to chase that bite today I might end up in the nut house

Luckily here up in my area there are many options when one lake turns to mud there’s always a couple that will still have gin clear water.
I feel for you fellas in the south. Strange thing about some of the lakes in my area is sometimes high muddy water is a blessing especially ones that are usually clear that dirty water has been good to me at times.

We've been spoiled the last few years with mild winters that kept the ice off the lakes and fishable. This year the ice seemed to stay forever and then the flooding began. When the ramps open up, I'll try crappie fishing. If that doesn't work, I should be able to get the in-laws a few catfish in the muddy water.

The catfish definitely have the iceout feedbag on right now. I’ve some good size ones slam my plastics while out chasing crappie. Fun fight on my light tackle!
