We hit it last time out...nothing!
Everything was back in the drop-off...maybe it will warm up in the summer.
Thanks Doc ! Pray tell has anyone even tried it of late ? Curious if anything`s "home"...with a suspected near by drowned spring even dribbling 56F degree water into the former gravel pit all year long (especially during winter) with 25+ fow 270 degrees around it and a plunge down at the last break like Yosemite it could do well.

CJP... Heard about this trick some time ago. Tonight, take a bottle aspirin or equivalent to bed with you. When your wife asks why, say it's for her headache. When she says she doesn't have one... Bingo!
Smart man...
Tried it, Didn't work.. She is tougher than nails...

Did the Trifecta this weekend...fished Friday after work from 2-4pm and suffered through the fish skunk in awhile...the wind was not cooperating to where I could reach deep water and use light weight for a Super Slow drop.
Saturday fished from 10-12am then 1-3:30pm, started out in deep water at the campgrounds and managed 2 dink Gators that went 14 +/-....wind was slight but not what I needed....after lunch I moved and wind was at my back and I was fishing "Glass Water"...not a ripple...ended up moving down to a 1/16 oz jighead and the slow fall and slow raise and drop resulted in 12 keeper Crappie (about the same in dinks) with 1 just over 10.5, plus 2 legal Gators at 16.5 and 17.5, took them home for supper for and Friend and I.
Sunday was much of the same but I didn't get out til after 1 and fished until 3...started in the shallows first and nothing, even though I had "Glass Water" again...moved to the deep water and fished the same way as Saturday, except with a 1/32 head, and ended up with 14 Crappie (7 keepers over 9.5)....put them back and headed home.
All 3 days I only saw 1 boat (today), a couple guys on the docks, and no one else fishing from the bank.
No idea what the water temp was, but the fish were cold but bit decent...the only thing that saved me was the Super Slow drops due to being no wind and flat water. If you have any fast movement of the bait at all, there were no bites.
Color for both days was a 2.8 inch Fat white Keitech swimmer, with a Chartreuse tail.
Read an Article about research on COLD WATER....Walleye and Cats are the only fish that super cold water does not effect...they will eat and swim as normal in water down to 29 degrees.
Every other fish is effected by 32 degree water and cannot swim properly and will die. For those fish a bait must be placed for them to get easily. Gators will feed and swim normally through the Winter...Guess I will be out Gator hunting until either ice comes or Spring!
Good Fishing To All.
