    does anybody know if east fork is ice free. planning on going friday if possible.

    My guess is it's locked up solid, end to end. If I get a chance I'll run over and take a look later in the week.

    Better go further south. Gonna need an auger and a shack to fish EF.

    I saw on a Indiana post that Brookville Lake has 12" of ice now, so I imagine EFL wont be much different.

    A buddy of mine drilled some holes at Grant Lake last Saturday and he said he had 9" over there.

    Did he catch any fish ? I was thinking of that place as it might be free of ice & fishable before these rivers tribs get straightnened out.

    Nah, the folks north of here are only looking at 6-8". Take it from an old ice fishermen, 12" is ALOT of ice for Ohio in general, let alone here. I'll bet it's closer to 6" than 12"
