Thread: River is frozen in Meldalh pool

Brrr....it's too cold.
I drove by EF yesterday afternoon and it was ice as far as I could see. I'm ready for spring.

This is the first time in my life that I've seen the river freeze over. I was on the 41st floor of our building Tuesday watching barges dodging icebergs. It's a pretty neat sight, but I'm ready for this cold to be over with.

Back in the winter of 77-78 the river froze over and my dad had taken me downtown to see it and take some pictures and we got a picture of some idiot driving a VW Bug across from Newport to the public landing.......yes he made it.

But I am ready for some springtime.

Went across the River in Cincy this am, looks like the ice is about gone.

some the best lakes and creeks frozen here in central Arkansas too

Now I don't feel so bad!

I've been trying to figure out how far south I have to drive to find open water.

It's not going south, it's getting there alive pulling a boat....
