    Thumbs up 2013 Hunting Thread

I know I'm not alone in my quest for the elusive white-tailed deer (or any other critter).

Let's use this as the Official 2013/2014 hunting thread to post some pics and comments. I know some who hunt Ky and have already been successful.

GOOD LUCK to anyone who can get out and be careful out there. Use your safety harnesses.

Saw 9 Saturday night but no shooter bucks.

    Good Luck this year.

I only made it out for Saturday morning and only saw 1 doe way out. It was pretty warm so we didn't hunt the rest of the weekend.
Home life is finally starting to slow down so time is getting freer just in time for hunting season and fall fishing

On a side note...my kids are in NC on vacation, they were texting me pics & videos of a big bull elk fighting and bugling while I was in my stand. Pretty cool stuff.

    I'm looking forward to it.
I think I only got out fish 3 or 4 times all summer but that's all going to change soon....

Like every year the good ones show up in my back yard. I got a pic of this guy back in July in my back yard. These city deer are safe so they can grow to a ripe old age.
I wonder how big he is now. He had a month more to grow when I got the pic.

I agree with that FITB. We're just hunting on Saturday mornings the 1st few weeks. Won't be long till it gets good

Its hard to get hipped up about Deer hunting when its 80 degrees, I am waiting for the Halloween full moon before I do any tree climbing, ive also noticed the Red oaks around here arnt bearing as many acorns and the ones they are dropping are early. Guess I will make my mix of shell corn and acorn rage to keep them at my dinner table!
