We fished Rocky Fork the other weekend, water looked good but the crappie fishing sucked. Buckeye usually has pretty good water color no matter what the rain amount.
My son and I were planning on going to erie for the weekend. (great place for kids to fish) Anyway I do not know what the water conditions will be with the weather.I am looking at the portage river or the marinas. I tried calling the Happy Hooker but all I get is an answering machine. He really wants to go there, but i do not want to make the drive if water conditions are poor. I saw one picture with docks under water, but I do not know which area the picture was from.
If erie does not work out does anybody know anything about Salt Fork or Delaware would they be a muddy mess with all the weather. I was also thinking about Rocky or Paint Creek how are these lakes?
Any help would be great.

Paint Creek was 28 feet over normal pool this morning. Delaware is about 7 feet over. More rain tomorrow and probably Sat. Rocky should be ok, not flood control. Don't know about Salt Fork.
Saltfork is probaply around 2-3 ft over like all the lakes in our area.
Erie is still not looking all that great..... Lots of wind/rain this week (rain again today) and the lake temps are still fairly cool. What marinas are you thinking of fishing? If you are fishing from a boat, about the only posibility i can think of is to go waaaaaay back into West Harbor and you might find some clean water. Crappies will most likely be holding in deeper channels with the low water temps. Some sunshine would be nice. If it is a long haul for you to come up - i'm not sure i would recomend it.
Check out the mud in the Western Basin - Coastwatch Sat. Image - the link is a big picture, you have to scroll down the page to see what area you are looking for.
