I usually used Trilene, but this past fall, I saw some line at Cabela's....their brand that I thought I would try. It was only 8 bucks a spool and had around 2000 yards of 6 lb and well over that of 4 lb. It's a camo colored line. Normally I steer away from the cheaply priced line, but I decided to try it and love the stuff so far. The 4 lb is what it is, but the 6 I have been surprised at how well it holds up to snags

I use Clear Blue Stern but I think I'm the only person left in the world who like it or even uses it. I mostly use 6# but keep 4# on hand for fishing my 1/32 oz jigs.

I have tried them all too and always go back to Trilene XL 6 lb. for crappie reels and 4 lb for gill reels.

recently got hooked on vicious, really like it. Prior to that, was a berkely user. Trilene XL and the trans-optic were my 2 faves.

There's nothing like trilene xl 6lb to 8lb, i use both. 6lb being the most common for me. Have tried different kinds and nothing compares to the ol trilene xl.

Well seems we all are trilene fans. After trying every new line there is, I have also returned to XL 4 to 6 for crappies, 8 to 10 for everything else

Thats my favorite line too. Today i tried the transoptic in 4lb and it really sucked. Broke easily and my jig was twisting like crazy. After losing a half dozen jigs i finally put that rod away. I have some in 8lb that i'll try tomorrow. It has to be better than what i used today.
