    Default Crawfish season means gumbo!

Crawfish, crab, a little andouille sausage, some okra and a good, dark roux. Now for a nice adult beverage and a good book. Name: IMG_1463.jpg

Man I love me some gumbo, that looks excellent!!!

Cooked our second batch for 2018 Saturday, tried to peel a few to stick back for gumbo, etouffee, jambalaya and frying. We are all enjoying them being back in season so much that we have had very few to peel and put up after they are cooked.

The second batch that we bought out of South Louisanna were very nice for this early in the season. Price dropped on the second batch due to being after Mardi Gras. I always hate to see them go out of season but I guess it makes the start of season that much sweeter!!!
