Shad ! But that is gonna be tough unless they open the gates of the spillway. Atleast that is where I get them. As for where, creek outlets in the lake with this freshet on us.
With all the high water and messed up lake conditions I was thinking about trying the catfish. Where would you start out at on Sardis with these conditions? What bait would you use?
Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.

I'm thinking about catfishing at Sardis tomorrow as well, I've always had luck with the water rising

May be wrong but bet you can get some shad at the Enid spillway, there will be a little current there.

Put in the river at hwy 7 bridge or go to Graham Lake and put in river there. We use Doc's catfish bait and do really well anywhere we have ever been with the stuff.

Well I went today, got halfway there....I was dead set on trying to catch catfish due to water conditions, and me and the little brother said heck we might as well jig some forget them cats! So we did....and jigged some more and then jigged some more, 11:00 no fish, so we anchored down and tried for some cat fish, for a couple small hits but nothing to show for. Told little bro ok enough of this its time to spider rig.....12:00-1:30 caught 3, 2 of which were keepers. Water was MUDDY just as I expected but gas is cheap as its gone be so I had to go! Water temp was 60 out of the month of where we fished and 62.5 about as soon as we got pass the mouth of the creek...
