    Default Spring Camp Meal

Spring Camp is just 3 weeks away so we need to get things together and have an idea of what all we need.
First thing is what we will eat. I mentioned it earlier and a lot of folks seemed to like the idea of more of a "Pot Luck" setting verses a "Fish Cooking" setting. Whomever is gracious enough to cook the fish ends up doing a huge amount of work and getting to visit very little.
We have a ton of folks here that love to smoke different meats, beans and whatever else. If some of us brought something we smoked, some other dishes, deserts and drinks it would be much easier to put together and clean up.
    Any objection to this???????

We paid a lot of money for a good fish cooker, I'd hate to see that go to waste.

If we had some other main courses, smoked meats, bbq, etc., like john suggested, maybe the fish cookers could cook less fish and have more time to visit..... Doesn't have to be all one or the other!

Tommy, I am not suggesting we not cook fish ever again just this time or like Iwanna says on a smaller scale. Fish as a main course for 100 folks is a lot.

Ya'll can precook the meat, slice or pull it, then put it in Seal a meal bags. All you need to heat it up is a big pot of hot water. I do it all the time and it's just as good as fresh cooked. I normally cook it a couple weeks ahead of time, freeze it, then just let it sit out til thawed

I like the surf and turf idea. If you decide to go that route, then make a sticky just for the meal so everyone can post what they are bringing so you don't get a bunch of the same stuff
Lets go soak a line. Pat

I'm sure one of the guys will volunteer that forced that a date be set for Spring Camp back in November and started calling for a decision in September.
