    Default Grapevine

Heard the Game & Fish just finished their winter survey on the COE lakes. Told to be the worst numbers they have ever gotten. Talk about some restrictions on poles and limits. Also mentioned a possible crappie season. Don't forget I said grapevine.

I heard some grapevine chatter a couple months ago

Curious to see the results. Pressure is high for sure. But they still have to be over 11/12 to keep. That should leave lots of fish to grow every year unless there is a bad spawn. I am not opposed to tighter limits during the spawn.

If they do make rule changes, I will abide by them. I will still have some great days on the water and get to tell stories about how it use to be.

MS a dead fish is a dead fish no matter when it's caught. So why would season just during the spawn help?

For the same reason they put restrictions on flatheads years ago during their nesting seasons. So not so many mature spawning females are coming out at one time.
