I would like to trade for a interlink setup with the cables and all I need to get setup. This ethernet setup I never did get to use as I sold and trade FF's and never got it hooked u

Hey Maachuu I have an Interlink I no longer use because I upgraded to the new series. It is still installed on my boat but not connected. I do not have the Ethernet cable yet.

I'm out of touch on interlink/ethernet for H'bird. I thought the Ethernet was the improvement over the Interlink not the other way around. ???

    Somebody fill me in.

The newer HB units use the ethernet rather than the interlink. Better make sure which one you need.

as holic said, the ethernet is for new models and the interlink is for the older models, I originally had a 788 on the front of boat and it would use the ethernet to connect to my 898 but now the 798 is an older model and it still needs the interlink to be linked

Hey Maachuu let me help you out. The ethernet cable you have will work with the 2 units you have. Just order - AS EC QDE -Accessories -720074-1 -Ethernet Adapter Cable.
I do need a cable but this is the best solution for you.

Now if you just insist on having the interlink I will trade you but the interlink is quite a finicky device and firmware versions must be synced to work properly. To Tell you the truth I hated it and figure they discontinued it for a reason .

Thanks Crappiehunter, appreciate it very much, yea I had heard that the interlink was link caveman compared to the ethernet.
