Default Championship issue in a nutshell

I'm going to try and explain in as few words as possible what's happened. Basically half of the championship field fished with the same partner throughout the entire FJ series. All of these folks get to use six poles -- no issue there. The other half of the field decided to enjoy fishing with multiple partners throughout the season INSTEAD of just one. This worked out well for them because they qualified but they have recently become aware that they don't have a qualified partner to join them in their championship effort because according to the rules that were discussed and posted several months ago their other partners didn't fish 3 FJ tournaments. These are grown men that made multiple decisions to put themselves in this situation. Speck and I had nothing to do with it. Also, this isn't a case were they had a death in the family or illness or anything else that is both understandable and unfortunate. These were six separate, intentional, concious decisons that took place over a six month period. Two of these people are on the Tournament Committee and as such they have the authority to go in and change the rules to change their situation by throwing in words like QUALIFIED BOATS instead of participants and referring to the "spirit" of the series instead of what was openly discussed, carefully typed and posted months ago. I think this is wrong. These are good folks and my friends and I can't believe I am in the awkward position of pleading for an honest contest between fellow qualifed sportsmen that adheares to the rules they developed originally. It seems to me the easiest and appropriate thing to do would be to use this season as a learning experience and play the hand their delt. They can either partner up with another single qualifier or compete by themselves but don't change the rules to allow someone to compete that hasn't fished in our series. What are your thoughts?

Honestly......this is beginning to piss even me off. That takes some doing.

    OK. Fine.

Of the 10 boats previously listed, the following would have qualified without a qualifying partner:

    Bigger
    Wannabe
    Feelay
    Major
    Triton
    Creekslick
    Vic Finkley

The remainder qualified with their Partners:
    Sat / Torch
    Don Don / Nessa
    Yikess / Speck

OK, so my question is to the 7 teams that qualified without a partner. Do you have a problem fishing by yourself or teaming up with someone else on the list just to make this issue go away?

I know it would be fine with me and I'll go ahead and speak for Vic...I'm sure he won't care one way or another since he usually fishes by himself, but I can talk to him when I get home today to be sure. So, to the 7, please reply here.

One other thing....I can't recall which combination of Be's I had at which tournament. I'll have to check my pictures and with my wife to see for sure. Assuming I qualifed them both, I will fish with them as qualifed. If I only qualified 1, then 1. If neither, I'll either fish by myself or with someone else that is qualified. I'm just saying I reserve the right to determine whether I qualified them or not.

    Just relooked at the list.

Feelay and Jeepster fished 3 together so they are qualified as a team as well.

In addition, Vic fished 3 out of his boat and so did Bigger as well as fished 3 together. They would have the option of fishing seperately in their own boat or together in one.

WB you ought to be able to carry both kids and if anybody don't like that tell em to pm me and I'll tell em how sorry they are fer nit lettin a kid fesh. That sucks ifn you have to carry just one of em and have to leave the other at home cryin. If they make ya do that let me know and I'll come over anf carry the poor fellers.

Only thing is, you can't tell the Jr bees what's going on til the mornin of the tourney cause they'll both be wantin to fesh with me. Bwahahahaha
