I think there needs to be a stop fishing time, and a time to be in the weigh in line. Think I saw where that was done this weekend. I agree to up it to 40 and 10 on the entry as well, but still only keep about 5 per entry to go towards the championship....
Also, think all the rules need to be set in stone before the season starts, and make sure everyone agrees with them via vote. I also think that if non-c.c members are not welcome at the tournaments that should be included in the rules as well.
I'm done. Sorry bout the list...
Now, THAT's more like it. I thought I remembered ya'll whining a lot more than that. Bwahahahaha.
Keep it going, let's get it out there.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
to have another score keeper cause the one we got can't add. I nominate Feelay for that job

This is really gettin bad , I am startin to agree with Patrick. What ever time we set as start time plus 7 hours ( one hour per fish)? If you aint catching one a hour ya need to quit anyway.
Weigh in is 30 min after stop fishing time. That should give most all plenty of time to get to weigh in point.
All that want to fish are welcome but have to fish in at least 3 of the 6 or so FJ's to be elegable for the Championship.
Lets set entry at $40. per team of two per boat.. $10. on big fish. $5. to go to Championship. Anyone placing in any of the 6 tourneys wont have to post entry fee in Championship.

then the winner gets 60%, 2nd gets 25% and 3rd 15%. That way you'd have 3 teams getting Something. Just thinking out loud. If we have 6 tourneys and average 20 teams. that's be 120 times 10, thats $1200, then add in say another $400 for people that didn't place so you've got $1600 bucks to work with. $960 for the winner, $400 for 2nd and $240 for 3rd. Still not bad at all and gives more people a chance to win something

The more you pay back during the season, the more people you will have.
I have said it before, but you can't make money fishing crappie tournaments, but if you break even you have done good. The easier it is to break even (gas, minners, ect) the more participation you will get, generally. That's my outlook anyway.
It would be nice if Wannabe had donuts and coffee at check in and burgers and brats on the grill at weigh in!:D That being said, you all have some great suggestions.

I would like to see the entries limited to c.com members only. This would require us to establish some kind of guidelines for what qualifies as a member. I don't think it's fair to allow some yahoo to sign up Friday night before the tournament and make one post that says "Hi ya'll" so he/she would be allowed to compete the next morning as a member.
+1 on the wannabee donuts suggestion.
