    Default Christmas gift Equalty?

I was just pondering some of the inequalities in life. I know thinking is a dangerous thing for me.
After many years of observation and much instructions from the wife, I am wondering the whys of some things.
I have noticed that when it comes to Dads and husbands gifts tools and things to work with seem to be acceptable and in most instances appreciated gifts. But any mom and wifey gift that would be used to do any chore, no matter the necessity, of said chore, is quite frowned upon, and can and usually does, bring a very unappreciative smile of disapproval. Also a reminder for years of the indiscretion.
So my friends, remember a cooking device, cleaning device or any device that does not glitter, or remove said spouse from home for a vacation from you and or children, is a no no.

Merry Christmas to all and blessings to you and yours.

Guys like tools and stuff like that. In days of old women were expected to clean cook launder etc so it’s a chore. Hence wives liking perfume, jewelry, and other thing not necessarily tied to said expected norms of years ago. I am lucky cause my wife loves everything I get her whether it be a kitchen item or piece of jewelry. Just my two cents.

to be honest, my wife is a pleasure. She doesn't ask for anything. she just tells me what I am getting her, . another thing about us is we don't exchange gifts on "special days". We give or just get things as we are moved to do or necessary. Birthdays, holidays, and such are spent showing love and care to one another. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

With my birthday being in December as well as Christmas I asked for glass bowls with lids that fit securely. I'm just tired of going thru a dozen cool whip, sour cream or chip dip containers looking for leftovers.

Snapware is some good stuff. Gasket sealed lids so not leaks. It is what I take lunch to work in.

I know all about those December birthdays. You get one gift and the wife says this is your birthday and Christmas present. You get the one gift (Something to do work around the house) and the wife expects AT LEAST TEN or more gifts of a personal nature. Never go shopping for her without her. That way she gets what she wants, in her size, color, personality and style. Best of all you don't have to wait in long lines after Christmas trying to return stuff she did not want. You are not going to win any arguments about it either. Just be thankful you have a great wife and family.

Mstr Dan got it right when he posted "to be honest, my wife is a pleasure. She doesn't ask for anything. she just tells me what I am getting her, "
