Other than fishing and hunting, guns, mushroom hunting, gold prospecting, metal detecting, but one of our more enjoyable hobbies is geocaching. Where you take your GPS outside and find stuff people hide in cool places, like this spot here overlooking the South Jetty at Coos Bay, Oregon. I forgot to mention bowling three times a week.

Yep, we got morels too. Nothing better unless you find a batch of chantrelles or oyster mushrooms. Whole bunch of good edibles come up around here. Too many to list almost. I still have a few to fry/try... But the morel is by far one of the best. We get the black and the blonde variety, and some of them get as big as your hand or bigger! HUGE! Happy pickins!

I have been learning how to play the guitar for the last 30 years or more. I used to be a "living room" performer and could really entertain myself. I got married to a girl that loves to sing three years ago. Now we sing at retirement centers and nursing homes on a regular basis.
I love messing with my toon boat. If I ain't cleaning it up and rubbing on it, we are out on the lake or river with the grandkids. They love to go to sand bars for the afternoon.

    Cool Here are my hobbies.

My wife says I spread myself to thin. I say I might not be here tomorrow so I am going to do as much as possible today. I work an offshore type schedule (14-14) so I manage to do quite a bit of each hobby.

This rates right up there with fishing. I rode 25,000 miles the last 18mos. I love to take road trips and camp along the way, I'll be gone several days each trip and I love every minute of my ride. This pic was taken at Lake Claiborne on a 52* day. I took a short ride just to satisfy my cravings before I went back on duty for two weeks.

Here is a pic of my Dad and his bird hunting bubbies. This was the first day of a 3 day hunting trip. I usually get over to Alabama a couple times every year and hunt with them. I wish it was not so far so I could do it every weekend during the season.

And of course I won't leave out my favorite pasttime, "CRAPPIE FISHIN"! These are some I caught at Lake Bistineau earlier this fall.

There are two things to aim for in life: First, to get what you want; and after that, to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind achieves the second. Author unknown, but I like it!

Been tinkering... I put 4 barrel and intake on my '79 Ford truck to see what an inline cylinder would do.. pretty impressive power boost. Not a restoration as it's a real-life working truck.

I have a '95 Electric Club Car golf cart that has a lift kit and big tires so I can do a little trailriding in the neighborhood. It's already hopped up with a Plum Quick motor form these guys: www.plumquick.com . Pretty fast for a golf cart at 22 MPG with no lift. Should be around 25 or so with the lift and bigger tires. It's also got a utility bed and 2" hitch so I can claim I use it for working around the yard and toting trailers and such.

I've also been bitten by the geocaching bug. Lots of fun and adds a new element to hiking. For more info check out www.geocaching.com . All you need is a GPS. You will be shocked how many caches are around you that you never knew were there. My little boy loves it. He thinks it's a treasure hunt. He doesn't quite understand the TNLN concept.

Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We are going with you also." They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing.

And we act like this Nightstalking thing is new.

For some excitment, read the next verse. A special guest arrived, they filled their coolers and had a fish fry on the beach...in the morning. My kind of people.- Bowfin
