My neighbor just stopped by and I thought he was going to have a heart attack. He is retired and draws SS and a pension. He had a new heat Pump put in and they told him it qualified for a $1500 tax credit. Healso replaced 6 windows for another $600 Tax Credit. guess what. Since he doesn't pay at least $2100 in taxes he gets back a big fat $00. The people who sell using the tax credit as a tool need to understand how those things work.
