Mustads I've had were crap. Bread ties are stronger.
There's a guy who closed out his tackle business and he had groups of thousands of jig hooks, and some where the jigs were already made. Some of them were way out of league but he had one with over 5000 hooks and I misread it and didn't bid the right amount. Lost by two bucks.
It was a mix of Mustads and Eagle Claws, I know some don't like Eagle Claws but I've never had a problem with them.
Never pay'd more than what a new one cost, and definately always watch the shipping. Just wish they'd do away with the damed PayPal only and allow USPS money orders.

Don't know guys been using them for 30+ years and have never had one break on me, had a few come out of the box and the eye wasn't totally closed but needle nosed pliers fixed that.

Sorry. It don't take but one or two failures when I'm fishing and It's outta my boat. Mustads break under pressure. Mabe it's just been bad luck but I don't think so. But I won't drive a ford either, just never had a good one.
Last time I saw a mouth like that it had a hook in it!
bingo...i used to use bid slammer...but it changed from 50 cents a slam to a percentage. it was nice to be able to be away from the computer and still get an item with a snipe bid.
just sniped a pair of danner boots. for 40 bucks. nearly new.
basically, you decide what is the most i'm willing to spend and put it in there and do exactly what you say to do. works perfect. if you don't get the item it was more than you wanted to spend and you werne't destined for the item!
