Excellent engineering Larry! Well done.
The only way to see how something is going to work is to use it !!!!! Finding things that fit and make a tool to use on poles from 5 Ft up to 12 foot was a small challenge ... The parts used was the Drier Motor with the end support .. Bolted to the Base for Mounting a Wench to a ATV, A threshold to a outside Door Jam .. 2 sections of Track lighting , both Three foot long. On top of one section of the Track is part of the Mounting Bracket for holding an Air Conditioner to a window ==== The wrapper is built on the Aluminum base plate for mounting a swivel Seat in the Boat !!! A Block of Wood , a small Toggle Bolt, 8 small stainless flat washers Two plastic washers that was an Exact fit that kept the tension springs from jaming under the washer, then 8 disc of plastic made from a dog food bag ;;; super slick ,, Assembled as washer, Disc, washer , slick disc . it makes a clutch and prevents the Wing Nuts from Backing off

I forgot the Cabinet Hinge, used as a line Guide .... If anyone wants to Donate Broken Crappie Poles ,,, I could make some Poles for Those Crappie Kids that come to the Gathering at D'Arbonne -- I would have a year to play and match ,Replace guides, then it would be just their own poles-- Ready for a reel

As PF said "WOW" that is some tinkering and a half. Maybe a spring on the bolt to fine tune the tension, just a thought.
