    Default Mother's Day Groceries

when the ladies say they want crabs for mothers day and you get a pass you take em' up on it. went out with my 2 brothers and my nephew to Pointe Aux Chenes launched on the north side about 6, ran the first net at 6:30 picked up the last net at 9:30. ended up with just shy of 9 dozen blue boys, there were a few "Men" in there to.

Nice catch. My group and I did the same thing the weekend before near Lake Boudreaux where we brought home 163 crabs. That was more than we could eat so the rest got peeled and made into some crab and corn chowder. We plan on doing it again soon.

Did the same thing with my mom and dad Saturday but the crabs were NOT as cooperative. Finally found a spot that gave us 3 dozen. They were packed full of meat so it was plenty for the 3 of us plus my daughter, of course I only eat 2 a year but I did splurge b/c they were so good and ate 3.

It's almost every weekend thing for us in the summer for about 3 years now. It's so easy $5-10 in Turkey necks yields a delicious lunch. Can't beat it.
