    Those heating elements do not like to be moved around and break easily. Kind of homebodies and like to stay in one place.

    A lot of the electric models have elements that are not replaceable. They aren't available.

    I have ordered what appears to be the replacement element from ApplianceFactoryParts.com. It has not arrived yet, so can't be sure. It is made for Masterbuilt smokers, though. Meanwhile the new smoker has arrived and is about to be used on some pork chops.
