Default Spent the Weekend as my son's roadie

Friday my oldest son Chase asked me if I would ride to Crystal Beach with him to play a gig on the beach. Well we get there and start setting up. Next thing you know a beer truck pulls up and starts setting up next to us. Well it turns out they were playing the Annual Full Moon Party on the Beach. They started playing at sunset with about a 100 or so people there and by dark there was over a 1000 people there. When his band went on there first break Tracy Byrd got on stage and started an acoustic set. Halfway thru his set Chase got on the bongos and backed him up. Well 2 songs later he was on drums playing songs he has never heard before. When they played America you would have thought Chase had been playing with Tracy on a full time basis. After a few songs Al White got on stage and they played Margaritaville and You Don't Have to Call Me Darling. Boy was that one heck of a night. Then Saturday I go with him to play another gig at The Natchez River Wheel House. That boy then got up Sunday morning and played drums at church at 9am. I will tell you this I am one proud Dad. I never miss a show within a 100 miles. Next weekend he is playing 3 shows in Austin Tx. It is great to see your child do what he loves and be able to make a living. He is a full time college student, plays on McNeese drum line, teaches music lessons, plays in 4 bands, and at church every Sunday. Here are a few pictures I took of the show. For the Facebook people I posted a link to the videos.
