Since I had cataract surgery I do not need corrective lenses for seeing distance....just bifocals for reading....I got 4 pair of sunglasses at Academy for $5 each....polarized and UV.....one in car, one in truck, one in boat and a spare.......

Bruce I don't know if you were ever a scout, but you would have made a good one. Scout motto: Be Prepared.

Thanks for the replies.I went with a set of clip on I got at academy. I've done the prescription sun glasses. I've lost the last two pairs.

Oakley makes prescription glasses. I have worn the same pair of Oakleys since 05, just buying news lenses along the way. Cheap polarized glasses make my eyes feel fatigued like I have been welding all day. Big difference for me.

That's about the best education you can get. You don't forget anything once you've learned it that way.

For those of you that only need magnification for threading and tying a hook, Academy and Walmart sell fishing style sunglasses with different magnifications to choose from on the bottom like bifocals for about $25 a pair

I have 3 or 4 pairs, and love them
