I love (good) pies.....especially coconut.....might have to make that stop in January on the way to TB.....thanks...
If you guys are traveling north on I-49 towards Alexandria you have to stop here. Roughly 2 - 3 miles off the interstate. Serious pies at that place, apparently they are known for them. The coconut pie we finished off last night had to have been 6" tall. I am serious. We will be stopping back by on the way home. Just thought I'd let you know. It's worth it, believe me.

Randy, before I-49 was completed Lea's was the necessary stop all the troopers traveling US 71 south to BR and also on the return trip. I dont think I ever went through Lecompte without stopping. The coffee and pie was get also enjoyed talking to Mr. Lea, he looked like Col Sanders always wore the same type white suit.

Lecompte has a pie festival. If you like pie they go all out festival time, in a word yum!
Been there, done that! And will do again and again and again! I knew it had to be good when Deacon told me that him and Mrs. Donna would drive up from Loureville just to eat the pies!
