Default Zach needs a simple carp bait

Zachary is fishing in a little kids fishing derby in a couple weeks and the winner is usually a carp. Just wondering if anyone had a simple carp bait recepee that is somewhat effective for carp. Thanks

I'v heard of just using bread balls, but I'm not sure. I guess you just roll it in your hands and bait up. Good luck!

    Peanut butter
    Bread
    Flour
    Water

    Optional:
    Garlic
bacon grease or other "meat juice" type deal
    Vanilla
    Strawberry flavor/jelly/jello mix
    corn

Mix together and make nice thick doughballs.

Works great on carp and catfish, and great fun for kids to mix up. Works best with treble hooks made for doughballs.

ive just caught them with bread but the recipe above me sounds pretty good. i only fish for them when i see them feeding on vegetation near the shore and bread works great for sight fishing (i wish a had a bigger fly rod). the recipe above will help them find it though.

Hey Mikefish. Depending On Where Your Fishing , If Dough Is Not The Ticket, Regular Yellow Corn Out Of The Can Works Sometimes. Just Load A #2 Hook Up With It And Wait.

I have had success with this. Sometimes we get caught up with the "Latest & Greatest" and forget the baits we used as kids. They still work effectivly.

    Best Recipe:
    Dough
    Garlic
Some Type of Smelly Cheese(Really Any Type)

    Also Another:
    Dough
    Strawberry Flavoring

Put both on a fairly good sized treble hook

Appreciate the replys guys. The only carp we have ever caught was in the cast net at Jordan several weeks ago.
