    Post Kayak

I was thinking about getting another kayak and i was wondering what is your favorite. The only thing is that i would have to use this kayak in moving water as well, so if you could tell me your favorite brand that would be great

i currently run a native watercraft ultimate 14.5. it is a very comfotable boat and is stable due to its tunnel hull. its a canoe/kayak hybrid (not a sit on top) so you need spray skirts over the bow and stern if youre paddling in white caps.

It depends on what your budget is, some are 2 thousand dollars.

If you're going to fish out of it...I love my Wilderness Systems 14' Tarpon (SOT), but I also fish from my WS Tsunami 145. Wilderness Systems is my favorite brand name....but I have Necky's/Old Town/too.

Yep!...I have a 158 Discovery...had it probably 25 years...it'll haul a load too. I also have an Old Town Castine kayak that's probably the most versitile in my fleet...big enough to haul some gear, but small enough for tight water, and it tracks great!

That looks like a decent yak, but I'd consider something longer. Longer will typically track better....it all depends on where you're gonna use it.
My shortest yak is 13.5'...but I can take it anywhere (up to class II water) and it tracks very well, but it is a sit-in. My Tarpon 14' is wonderful...I can actually stand up and cast in calm water...it'll haul a ton of weight...it's width does make it slower... but not by much.
