    Default High Rock 4/24...

Left the house this morning around 9....

Got to Daddy Rabbits to get some minnows and some gas but remembered when I got there that I left two decals on the back of the boat that I was getting ready to put on ! Well they flew off somewhere so I drove back once and found one.....drove back towards Daddy Rabbits again and found the other :o... Luckily no one was behind me but way to start my day!!! :p...

Finally put in at the Southmont landing at about 10... First stop was around the Old Bringle Ferry Rd bridge at the Tamarac Marina and I was catching them deep near the bottom at about 20ft on minnows and drifting jigs behind the boat. Changed my tactics to regular trolling with jigs, was using blue/chart, black/chart, blue/white, my ugly color, and yellow/white. Maybe I was doing something wrong and caught three channel cats, the biggest one on a minnow/10ft BnM Crappie rod with 6lb test(what a fight!) and two on blue/white jigs... Caught the biggest Crappie on black/chart but anything with red on it couldn't get a mosquito to bite ....

Went to fish along the rail road track on #8, caught some more 10's and 11's there to bring along, was using a yellow/white jig and drifting minnows under a split shot.

Left there and decided fish around the piers and docks by Holloways Church Rd, the fish were everywhere except the piers and docks! I was using black/chart and blue/green jigs, I made casts to the bank and caught them in a foot or two of water... the majority of them were about 9" but were released. Even caught one on a bare hook when I left my rod hanging off the side LOL!

I came home with a darker tan, 17 Crappie, 3 Catfish, 2 fat white perchs.

Water clarity was as normal as High Rock gets at Second and Abbotts lol... water temp: I don't know.

Learned a few things today.... and after catching 40+ Crappie.... the Bluegill got away with my jig
