Was up there last week. The dock is in the parking lot. Looks like they are pouring a new ramp (maybe 2) hard to tell right now. They had enough equipment there to build an interstate but no one was working. Not gonna be lauching there for a while !!
Went by again yesterday. Looks more like they are going to add another ramp. Some progress made since last week.
Thanks for the info.
Stopped by to check out the Eno River Boat Launch off Red Mill Road in Durham County today and ran into the Regional Gamelands Supervisor and the Northern Piedmont Gamelands Supervisor. Both were real nice & informative guys. We're fortunate to have them working for us. They said the ramp was improved and the parking area on the right side was being expanded to accommodate cars and non trailer vehicles. There are no plans to add an additional ramp. The ramp looks shiny & new, so now they're just waiting on the paving contractor to complete their part of the project. Ramp should re-open in the next month or so. Here's a few pics.

That does look all shiny and new. Should be nice and a convenience to use.
The Eno River & the Falls Lake are low. It will look better when that dock is floating level and the river's up. We just got 1/4" of rain within the last hour, which won't change much, but it's better than nothing.
A guy I know who works the boat houses at Little River Reservoir and Lake Michie said that those lakes were closed due to low water. Both lakes normally close for the winter in Mid-November, so unless we get tropical storms, they might be closed for the year. I know the "Be careful what you wish for." deal, though it wouldn't crush me to get 4 or 5 inches of rain to re-open those lakes.
Thankfully, with school starting and the cooler weather approaching, most of the "Tan, Party, Pleasure Boat, & Jet Ski crowd" have found somewhere else to be. The big lakes are open for business and I don't mind a bit.

I was there yesterday. Wildlife is finished and all that's left is for the contractor to pave the lot. Looks like we'll catch the crappie run this year !!
