Default Jordan Lake and My first spider rig attempt

After about a month of buying double seats, rod holders and everything else I can think of, I am going out in the morning for my first attempt at spider rigging for crappie. Any advice? Not looking specific spots, but I assume the water is mid 50's with this weather? Too early to be shallow? Still fishing the deeper water? Hopefully I can get out again on Saturday. Any tips, jig color or anything helpful would be greatly appreciated. Will post pictures of the experience. Thanks!

I don’t know that lake but I’d start at a bay on the north side that is wind protected, near a channel. Basically they should be wanting to hit the banks but you need to find them from a Creek mouth up to the shallows. Pay attention to warmer water as well. I’d start with minnows.
