Charles, known on here as Hunter, caught a 1.92 lb. crappie at the CCA tornament at Wateree this past Saturday. It is his personal best weight so far and he is now concentrating on breaking the 2 lb. mark. When Charles and I started fishing together about three years ago, he only thought crappie bit at night. He has definitely proved that is not true.

Some of you know this story, but I will share it again. Charles and his wife were talking a few years ago about where they wanted to retire. He said lets go to Jordan Lake, NC, because he had been reading on Crappie.com about all the slabs being caught down there. They did end up moving down here and live not far from the Farrington ramp area on Jordan Lake. It's nice that the plans did work out and he is able to catch those slabs he had been reading about. Now for that 2 pounder out there waiting to be caught.

Down below his picture is one I took on Saturday morning. It looks like an old b/w one, but everything was gray as the sun was burning through the fog.
