I've always expired the opposite. The moon creates more competition for the light. A bright moon has destroyed more than one night hunt for me.
Maybe you need a brighter light? How deep do you sink your light?
Took the time to do some night fishing on Tilliery Tuesdaynight. On the water about 9:30 off 3am WT 85 clear. Did nothing but drown minnows.More than once I was asking myself why I was setting out here in the dark. Then about 1 am and I don’t know if this hadanything to do with it but as the moon came up over the tree tops the fishstarted biting. Had a limit by 3am. All caught on minnows fishing in 20/30 FOW.Had good minnow action around the light all night.
Only one perch all night.
