    Default sutton lake

apparently there are no crappie in sutton lake, or at least none that want to be caught. fished all thge ditches, all the channels, shallow, deep, and everything else. never marked school. lots of big bass and carp. waters real clear now. but thats ok.....cause flounder time is here, and spanish, and lots and lots of other saltwater fish.

John, they're in there but as you noted very hard to catch. Fishing was great 40 years ago, and went downhill gradually for crappie. However, about 5 years ago it picked back up considerably. Sutton has never had much of a creel limit though, and I saw people take 200 fish out of there at once.

Since the plant converted to gas, it's changed the characteristics some. I'm pretty sure a few were caught in that 3rd lake back in the winter.

Yeah, I've only ever caught em there in the winter, and when the ditch had warm water. I'm also ready to hit the salt. First calm weekend I'm gonna go see about the bonito and spanish.
